The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken action against three individuals who were allegedly involved in activities supporting Pakistan-based militant outfits.
The Kashmir University public relations officer, a police constable, and a revenue department officer have been terminated from their positions.
The individuals, identified as Faheem Aslam, Murawath Hussain Mir, and Arshid Ahmad Thoker, have been accused of working with militant groups, providing them with logistics, propagating their ideology, and raising funds for their activities.
They were regarded as a "threat to the security of the state."
The government invoked the appropriate constitutional provision to dismiss these employees after an investigation revealed their association with Pakistan's ISI and terrorist organisations.
Article 311(2)(C) allows the government to terminate employees without seeking an explanation from them or ordering an enquiry into their conduct.
The three individuals faced multiple charges, including working with militant groups, providing support to militants, spreading militant ideology, raising funds for militancy, and promoting a separatist agenda.
According to officials, Aslam is a "diehard secessionist who not only subscribes to and endorses the secessionist ideology, but has been a key propagandist for terrorists and terror outfits in Kashmir Valley."
Officials have identified several social media posts by Aslam that express his deep animosity towards India and refer to the security forces as "Indian Occupational Forces."
Less than a month ago, the government had terminated the services of two doctors, allegedly involved in the Shopian rape-murder controversy.
