Despite Naidu being brought to court from Nandyal and presented on Sunday, his MLAs and other leaders were confined to their homes.

The 19 TDP MLAs in Andhra Pradesh have been under house arrest for the past 72 hours by the state government. Police arrived at their homes early on Saturday, following the arrest of party chief and former CM N Chandrababu Naidu in Nandyal.

Meeting with party members, including relatives are prohibited for MLA's and other leaders. Additionally, the state's police forbade processions and demonstrations. To stifle protests, more security personnel have been stationed.

The preventive measures and detention of key leaders proved effective, as the bandh on Monday had minimal impact in most areas of the state.

Due to the confinement of their leaders at home, the TDP supporters refrained from participating in the bandh and did not take to the streets.

Although TDP cadres were able to emerge in some regions and attempted to obstruct roads by setting tyres on fire, they were quickly apprehended.

On Monday, from numerous cities including Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Tirupati, Guntur and others hundreds of TDP activists were detained, including women.
