#GRATEFUL2GURUS - Prof Nagaswamy to be felicitated


The myth of Aryan-Dravidian divide, a raging issue on social media, will be busted yet again by historian and archaeologist Prof Nagaswamy at an event in Chennai this Saturday (21 October).

Nagaswamy, who is well-known for his works on temple inscriptions and art history of Tamil Nadu, will speak on the topic ‘Mirror of Tamil and Sanskrit’ at #GRATEFUL2GURUS, where he will also be felicitated.

Organised by the Indic Book Club, the event to be held at Sri Siddanta Hall, Parampara Building, 44 Kasturi Ranga Road, Alwarpet, Chennai, will start at 6 pm.

Nagaswamy founded the Tamil Nadu Archaeology Department and served as its director for 22 years. He was awarded the Kalaimamani award by the Tamil Nadu government for his path-breaking work on Sekkilar’s Periyapuranam.
