Power generation major NTPC on Tuesday (13 December) said that it has commissioned the full capacities of 150 MW and 90 MW Devikot solar power projects in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer.
"Consequent upon successful commissioning, entire capacities of 150 MW and 90 MW Devikot Solar PV Projects at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, are declared on Commercial Operation with effect from 00:00 hours of 13 December 2022," NTPC said in a statement.
With this, standalone installed and commercial capacity of NTPC has become 58041.27 MW, while group installed and commercial capacity of has become 70656.27 MW, the company said.
The 150 MW Devikot-I and 90 MW Devikot-II Solar PV projects have been developed under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme Phase-II Tranche-I of Central government's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
The projects were won by NTPC through Viability Gap Funding (VGF) based competitive bidding done by SECI in 2019 and has been developedthrough HILD Energy under EPC with land mode wherein land required was arranged by EPC vendor.
As per the conditions on the CPSU Scheme, the projects employed domestic (Indian) PV modules and cells (as per the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) clause of Scheme) and received VGF from MNRE.
