G20 Summit: 'Dancing Girl' And AI-Generated Avatar To Welcome Guests

Heads of state and top global leaders will be greeted by an artificial intelligence-generated 'avatar' and a replica of the 'Dancing Girl' (a bronze sculpture of the Mohenjo-daro-era) at an exhibition of the G20 Summit.
The five-foot 'Dancing Girl' will rotate on an elevated podium at the centre of the 'Mother of Democracy' exhibition at the Bharat Mandapam, according to the Culture Ministry, which is organising the exhibition.
The history of Indian democracy will also be presented through 26 interactive panels.
These exhibition will showcase Sindhu-Saraswati civilisation, the Vedic era, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, Maha Janpada and Gantantra, the advent of Jainism and Buddhism, Kautilya and Arthashastra, Megasthenes in India, Emperor Ashoka's life, Fa Hsien’s travels, Khalimpur copper plate inscriptions, Shrenisangha and Uthiramerur.
Exhibits will also include Krishnadeva Raya, Mughal emperor Akbar, Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, India’s local self-governance model, the Indian Constitution and elections.
According to the Culture Ministry, an AI anchor will welcome the delegates and the heads of states by narrating the history and tradition of the Indian democratic system.
The exhibition will showcase India's democratic traditions from the "Vedic period to the modern era", the ministry officials said.
The textual content, along with its audio is presented in "16 global languages", including English, French, Mandarin, Italian, Korean and Japanese, they added.
The history of the democratic ethos of India will be "summed up and retold through 26 interactive screens" arranged in multiple kiosks.
Upon their arrival in the exhibition area, heads of state, delegates and other guests, will be greeted by an AI-generated 'avatar' which will provide them a concise overview of the exhibition, officials said.
A replica sculpture of the Harappan girl, placed on a rotating elevated podium will be standing in the centre of the hall in the exhibition area.
The actual height of the object is 10.5 cm but the replica was created 5 feet height and 120 kg weight in bronze, the source said.
The election traditions of India will be showcased right to the modern era when after Independence, the first general elections were held in 1951-52 down to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
