National Film Awards For 2022: 'Kashmir Files' Wins Best Film On National Integration; 'Rocketry' Is Best Feature Film

The names of the recipients of the 69th National Film Awards were announced today, 24 August. This list of awards pertains to Indian films released in 2022.

In the list, the most notable item was Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files winning the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration.

The Kashmir Files was Agnihotri's film showing the ethnic cleansing of Hindus that was carried out in the Kashmir valley in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Apart from this, R Madhavan's Rocketry was announced as the best feature film. The film is biographical account of the career of ISRO scientist, Nambi Narayanan, who was accused in an espionage case and fought a long battle before being exonerated.

Actor Allu Arjun was named as the best actor the film Pushpa and the best actress award has been given to both Alia Bhatt (Gangubai Kathiawadi) and Kriti Sanon (Mimi).

The formal award ceremony will be held at a later date.
