Swarajya feature
This is the time for helping out fellow citizens and doing our bit in the fight against black money. Keeping that as our goal, Swarajya has today added a Feature which will help users find the ATMs with cash and status of queues near them.
You can see and use this feature by clicking HERE.
We also seek your help in updating the status of the ATM that you visit with 2 simple clicks! The feature is helpful to public only if it is used both ways - to see the status for yourself as well as update the status for helping others.
This feature would show all ATMs within a 2 kilometre radius of the user. These ATMs would be marked either green, amber or red.
-Green would stand for an ATM with cash available and short queue.
-Amber would stand for an ATM with cash available but with long queue.
-Red would stand for an ATM with no cash.
This is how the feature works.
1. BEFORE accessing the link, please make sure that you turn on the GPS on your phone.
2. Click "Locate Me" to identify your location and the map will display status of ATMs near you.
3. When you visit an ATM, please click "Update Status"
4. The app would allow you to mark that ATM as green, amber, or red. Please do so accordingly as this would greatly help other fellow citizens.
This feature has been developed pro bono for Swarajya by Akara Research & Technologies Pvt Ltd, Chennai - a technology company that specialises in map based IT solutions.
Come, help Swarajya in helping others. We sincerely look forward to your participation.
And do spread the word!
Support Swarajya's 50 Ground Reports Project & Sponsor A Story
Every general election Swarajya does a 50 ground reports project.
Aimed only at serious readers and those who appreciate the nuances of political undercurrents, the project provides a sense of India's electoral landscape. As you know, these reports are produced after considerable investment of travel, time and effort on the ground.
This time too we've kicked off the project in style and have covered over 30 constituencies already. If you're someone who appreciates such work and have enjoyed our coverage please consider sponsoring a ground report for just Rs 2999 to Rs 19,999 - it goes a long way in helping us produce more quality reportage.
You can also back this project by becoming a subscriber for as little as Rs 999 - so do click on this links and choose a plan that suits you and back us.
