India's largest Aqua Marine Park is set to come up in Hyderabad which is spread over 4.27 acre and will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 300 crore.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has invited international competitive bids for the development of the Aqua Marine Park through the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) framework, seeking international bidders to transform this innovative project into reality.

Upon selection, the project's construction will start with a single phase, taking up to 30 months for its completion.

This facility in Hyderabad draws inspiration from mega-structures in Singapore, Shanghai, and Dubai, aiming to enhance the city's aesthetics. Visitors can enjoy seeing various sea creatures in expansive enclosures, similar to those found in global marine attractions.

Features Of Aqua Marine Park

The curved tunnel will be at least 100 metres long, with a 3.5-metre promenade and a 180-degree panoramic view. "We are also looking into options for establishing such a large number of tunnels," said a Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department official.

The Aqua Marine Park will transform the city's recreational activities, providing a world-class facility.

The Aqua Marine Park, planned by HMDA officials, will house up to 2,500 people, and feature diverse aquatic life in a range of tunnels. This will include several types of fish, reptiles and more.

Visitors at the exhibit are in for an exciting experience with various activities to choose from including a virtual aquarium, touch tanks, koi feeding stations, and engaging kiosks designed for children. A restaurant with seating for 50 is also available, with a clear view of the exhibits.

For more entertainment options, there are 6D, 7D, and VR theatres that can accommodate at least 25 people. All of these are exceptional additions to complement the captivating exhibits.

Aquamarine Park will have 50 unique exhibits spread across a display area of 1,000 square metres. Different types of tanks, like box-type, flat curved, and cylindrical acrylic structures, will accommodate various species. The park's built-up area is massive, covering 250,000 square feet. Visitors can enjoy curved tunnel tanks with an awe-inspiring 180-degree view, limited to three tanks.

The park will revolve around the impressive shark tank, spanning an expanse of at least 100 metre with a walkway amplifying the experience for visitors. The aquarium itself will hold three million litres of water, with the tunnel tank responsible for at least two million litre.

Over 300 freshwater, brackish water, and marine species will call the park their home with roughly 10,000 captivating creatures of both land and sea showcased both locally and abroad.

The chosen developer will annually bring in new species to replace 10 per cent, supported by life support systems and quarantine measures for the park's efficient functioning.
