89 Treta Yuga Plant Species Mentioned In Ramayana To Be Planted Around The Ram Mandir In Ayodhya

The Ayodhya forest department has identified the plant species mentioned in the Ramayana and have secured the approval from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to sow their seeds in the upcoming Ram Mandir campus, Times of India reports.
Now, appropriate areas and places will be identified for their plantations to subsequently generate the atmosphere and ambience of the Treta Yuga.
The 89 species of trees including the likes of Rakt Chandan, Chandan, Saal, Deodar, Dhaak, Peepal, Nagkesar, Mango, Ashok, Sita Ashok, Parijat, Agar, Lodh amongst others have been distinctly stated in the Ramayana.
These varieties can be developed to become shrubs or medium-heighted species. Moreover, they have had an integral role to play in the epic tale involving Lord Ram and Mata Sita. However, the forest department reportedly does not plant these species in its annual plantation drives.
As per reports, there are plans to source some of these types of plants from different states whereas the Teerth Kshetra Trust will apprise the forest department of the sites to plant these trees.
