The “Nation First Collective” has issued a statement [PDF] made by 907 artists and people in the field of literature, endorsing Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government for a second term.
The statement states that in the last five years India has had a government which has given corruption free good governance and a development oriented administration.
It adds that in the last five years India has acquired greater respect and hence its their firm conviction that the Prime Minister Modi led government continue for a second term.
The 907 signatories include Pandit Jasraj, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, Vivek Oberoi, Pallavi Joshi, Koena Mitra, Shankar Mahadevan, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, Saroja Vaidyanathan, Rita Ganguly, Raja, Radha Reddy and more.
Incidentally, media reports were full of articles about “eminent artists” appealing the Indian populace to vote out Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This was followed by 600 artists appealing people to vote against the BJP. These artists included Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anurag Kashyap and more.
