The Indian Railways has ramped up efforts to provide better facilities to passengers. Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has been at the forefront of these efforts.
Recent examples include Tejas Express which has eye-catching exteriors. It runs at a speed of 120 kmph (faster than the previous speed of 110 kmph), and is scheduled to be flagged off by the senior most staff members of ICF on 29 November.
“Coaches with improved version of the same are ready for despatch, cut in by Dec end...our non-AC coaches already have our stamp; wide windows in all coaches..Kudos ICF's Design & Production team,” Mani Sudhanshu tweeted the pictures of the new coaches.
ICF, located at Perambur, Tamil Nadu, one of the leading manufacturers of coaches for the Indian Railways, has come out with new and improved versions of AC and Non-AC coaches with a sleek design and continuous windows.
This design which has become an ICF trademark previously existed only in Non-AC coaches but has now been adapted to AC coaches. The new coaches will be ready for dispatch in December, confirmed ICF General Manager Mani Sudhanshu.
