The war of words between former Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambir and Former Pakistani Skipper Shahid Afridi continued as the former has said that Afridi is 16-years-old mentally, the Hindustan Times reports.

“I am sure he will sell his book better. Some People grow in age not mentally. Shahid Afridi may be 36, 37 years old (Afridi is 39). But he is 16 mentally,” Gambir told India Today during a roadshow in New Delhi on Sunday (5 April).

Gambir adds, “My records are in open. Becoming ICC Test player of the year, winning Test series and World Cup. People will decide what I have done for the country. Some people are really mentally ill and so need psychiatrist treatment.”

The Jab on Afridi comes after his age revelation- that he was five years older than the official records said in his autobiography. The duo started to sledge each other after Afridi’s attacked Gambir and wrote he had no personality and has an attitude problem in his autobiography.

Afridi also referred Gambir as a cross between Don Bradman and James Bond. Gambir in response tweeted that he would personally take Afridi to a psychiatrist and offered him a medical visa in India.
