Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday (22 September) took to twitter to express disappointment on India calling off talks with his country.

We had reported yesterday that the Narendra Modi government has cancelled talks with Pakistan, scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting later this month in New York, hours after the killing of three policemen in the Kashmir Valley by terrorists.

The Ministry of External Affairs had agreed to hold talks with Pakistan on Thursday. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi were scheduled to meet on 26 September.

The government was forced to review its decision after the killing of three policemen by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in the Kashmir Valley. The three policemen were abducted after terrorists issued a warning asking them to resign or suffer consequences.

Now as a result of India’s snub, an upset Imran Khan has tweeted that he is disappointed by the “arrogant and negative” response.

He furthered his attack by indirectly calling PM Modi a “small man” who does not have the vision to see the larger picture.
