After Civil Aviation Minister’s Advisory, Air India Bans Kunal Kamra From Flying Until Further Notice 

Air India on late Tuesday evening (28 January) suspended ‘comedian’ Kunal Kamra from flying on-board any of its aircraft until further notice. The airline noted that it has taken such a step to discourage flyers from indulging in such unacceptable behaviour.

This announcement by Air India comes after Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri advised other airlines to suspend controversial ‘comedian’ Kunal Kamra from flying after the later harassed senior journalist Arnab Goswami mid air during a Mumbai to Lucknow IndiGo flight.

IndiGo had first announced that it is suspending Kamra from flying with the airline for a period of six months over his unacceptable behaviour. The airline also requested its flyers not to indulge in personal slander on-board any aircraft.

Kamra earlier in the day had posted a video of him harassing Arnab and repeatedly trying to provoke him by calling him a coward.

In an eyewitness account of the incident, a co-passenger claimed that off the camera Kamra even abused and threatened Arnab. Kamra’s behaviour also resulted in the pilot having to make a precautionary announcement mid-flight.
