After Ride With Delivery Agent And On State Bus, Rahul Gandhi Takes Truck Ride, As Congress Projects Him As "People's Leader"

Rahul Gandhi rode a truck in Haryana, from Murthal to Ambala, to learn about drivers' problems.
Following the Bharat Jodo Yatra, where the Congress leader engaged with individuals from diverse backgrounds, the party is promoting him as a "jannayak" or a leader of the people.
Even while campaigning ahead of the Karnataka election, Gandhi was referred to as a "people's leader" in various tweets published by the Congress.
Sharing a pictures of his truck ride, the Congress tweeted: "Your Rahul Gandhi, in your midst."
Prior to the Karnataka assembly election, which the Congress party eventually won convincingly, Gandhi joined a Blinkit delivery agent in Bengaluru as a way to show support to gig workers.
As part of his campaign, he also hopped on a Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus and conversed with women passengers about their aspirations for Karnataka.
The Congress has vowed to provide free bus travel for women on government buses in the state, a promise included in the party's poll manifesto.
Gandhi's recent visit to Delhi University's Post Graduate Men's Hostel on North Campus, where he interacted with students over lunch, was deemed as "sudden and unannounced" by the university administration.
A notice sent to him subsequently said such acts may pose a risk to the hostel residents, staff, and authorities. He was asked to refrain from taking any such action in the future.
In April, the Congress leader interacted with students preparing for UPSC and SSC exams in Mukherjee Nagar, near Delhi University North Campus.
