After Sweeping Lok Sabha Polls, Haryana BJP targets Victory On 75 Out Of 90 Seats In Assembly Polls

The Haryana Chief Minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday (9 June) said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will be approaching the upcoming State Assembly elections with 'Mission 75’ seats strategy, reports Economic Times.
Under Khattar's leadership, the BJP had clean swept all the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana in the recently concluded parliamentary elections. Buoyed by the astounding mandate accorded to the party in the elections, the BJP will now be working to win a mandate of more than 75 seats in the state assembly elections in which its extant tally stands at 48 of the total 90 seats.
"In the past four-and-a-half years, we have seen how people have backed our development-oriented policies and programmes. Be it the results of the Faridabad and Gurugram civic polls, the recent mayoral elections in five cities, the Jind bypoll and the Lok Sabha polls, people have reposed their faith in the BJP," Khattar said after a meeting presided over by Union Home Minister and BJP President Amit Shah in Delhi.
Commenting on seat-sharing with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) which has evinced interest to jointly contest the elections in Haryana, Khattar said that the decision on the matter will be made by the BJP's parliamentary board at an appropriate time.
The crucial meeting was also attended by senior state BJP leaders including union ministers Rao Inderjit Singh, Krishan Pal Gurjar and Rattan Lal Kataria, and Haryana ministers Ram Bilas Sharma, Captain Abhimanyu, OP Dhankar, state BJP chief Subhash Barala and former union minister Birender Singh.
