With less than two months remaining for the unprecedented snap polls, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party has begun efforts to lure voters by presenting him in a “different league” by putting banners featuring his pictures with Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin and United States President Donald Trump, reports Times of India.

According to the report, election advertisement banners showing Netanyahu’s closeness with the three world leaders were seen in the party’s headquarter in Tel Aviv, with Hebrew text on top saying, Netanyahu’s (in a ) “different league”.

Focusing on the Netanyahu’s close chemistry with the world leaders, the Israeli PM’s campaign is trying to project him as a leader of unmatched stature in the country’s politics.

Earlier in May, Israeli Lawmakers voted in favour of dissolving the twenty first Knesset (Parliament) and holding an unprecedented re-elections on 17 September after Netanyahu failed to form a coalition government after the 9 April polls.

Netanyahu will be travelling to India on a day-long visit on 9 September to meet PM Modi, just eight days ahead of the re-elections in the Jewish nation. The Israeli PM is reportedly facing a tough challenge amid the unfavourable opinion polls.
