Yesterday (21 February), Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express skipped the scheduled halt at Andheri and moved past the station.
The situation was brought to notice of higher officials and an unscheduled halt was arranged at Dadar where around 42 passengers deboarded.
ANI quoted Western Railway as saying that the matter is being enquired.
The statement read: “Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express moved past Andheri today without halting as scheduled halt. The matter was brought to the notice of officials immediately and an unscheduled halt was promptly arranged at Dadar where approximately 42 passengers deboarded. The matter is being inquired.”
Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express is a fully air-conditioned, semi-high speed train connecting Ahmedabad to Mumbai. It has stops at six stations named Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali.
It is the first Indian train to have LCD screens on which the users can enjoy music and movies.
