With Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries setting the date of its 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM), all eyes are set on the company announcing the date of the commercial rollout of the highly-awaited Reliance Jio GigaFiber. The 42nd Reliance Industry AGM is stated on 12 August 2019, the Telecom Talk reports.
Back during the 41st AGM, Reliance had announced that GigaFiber fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service with Giga TV and smart home solution. Since then, for the past year, various reports of the service, the service’s beta testing, plans and pricing, launch date have been viral.
According to the report, a BSE filing reveals that the Reliance Industry Limited, parent company of Jio, will hold the AGM on 12 August. Recently, it was reported that, with beta-testing of the service almost done, Reliance plans to push the product with official pricing details and subscription options to users during the upcoming AGM.
Earlier, reports of one of the plans- the ‘Triple Play Plan’ were revealed, in which the Mukesh Ambani-led company would ship DTH, broadband and landline in a single connection, retailing it at Rs 600. The plan would offer 100 GB data at 100 Mbps speeds, unlimited voice calling, Jio Home TV subscription and access to other Jio apps.
