In a bid to contain the spread of Coronavirus, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officers that no public gathering should be allowed in the state till 30 June, reports Zee News.
Uttar Pradesh has over 1,620 Covid-19 cases in the state including 247 cured patients and 25 fatalities, as per the Union Health Ministry data.
According to the report, the UP Chief Minister’s Office in a statement said that CM Adityanath has instructed the officials to ensure that no public gatherings take place in the state till 30 June.
The order will be reviewed after considering the situation in the state, the statement added.
"Chief Minister has directed officers that no public gathering be allowed till 30th June. Further decision will be taken depending on the situation," Office Of Yogi Adityanath tweeted.
CM Adityanath held a meeting with chairpersons of 11 committees of the state over the COVID-19 situation.
