Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday (14 August) decided to cite the Hindu epic Mahabharata while attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah over the abrogation of Article 370, ANI has reported.
While referring to Tamil Actor Rajinikanth’s statement comparing Modi and Shah to Krishna and Arjun, Owaisi questioned who are the Pandavas and Kauravas in case of Article 370, and if people want another Mahabharata in the country.
Owaisi also attacked the subsequent nullification of Article 35A by citing similar restrictions to buy property in other parts of the country like Himachal and sections of North Eastern states.
“I am an MP but can I go to Arunachal Pradesh & Lakshadweep? I have to take a permit for it. Can I buy land in scheduled areas of Assam, I can’t. I'm telling people of Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, and Himachal that it will happen there too”, said Owaisi.
