Rendition of Ram Mandir.
The Supreme Court has given its verdict in the Ramjanmabhoomi case. The land has been allotted to Hindus for the construction of the temple.
The verdict has been unanimous and has been based upon facts and evidence, and not on faith, as per the SC.
Muslims are to allotted a separate 5-acre site in Ayodhya for the construction of a mosque.
By pronouncing the verdict, the Supreme Court has overturned the Allahbad HC verdict in 2010 which divided the land into the 3-parties.
The Supreme Court while pronouncing the verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi case said that faith of Hindus that Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Ram is beyond the judicial inquiry.
“Whether a belief is justified is beyond judicial inquiry. Once faith is established, courts should defer to it,” the SC said, as reported by Bar and Bench.
The SC is delivering the verdict on the case which has been going on for around seven decades.
The landmark verdict was read out by a five-judge constitution bench. Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, who retires on 17 November, decided the date of the verdict in consultation with four other judges.
