Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (5 March) said the airstrike in Pakistan wouldn't be India's final such action against terrorism emanating from the neighbouring country, reports The New Indian Express.
Modi said he would target terrorists "even if they hide in the bowels of the earth". "If one work gets over, our government doesn't sleep, but gets ready for another," Modi said.
The Prime Minister also asked Opposition leaders not to malign India's armed forces. He urged leaders to desist from issuing statements against national interest.
"What our Opposition leaders say become headlines in Pakistan newspapers today," Modi said. "It is our principle to kill them by barging into their houses," Modi was quoted as saying in the report.
He also said that the IAF's air strikes at the Balakot terror camps carried out in response to the Pulwama attacks must not be linked with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
After Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said that captured IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman would be returned to India as a "gesture of peace", Modi had in another event said " Abhi abhi ek pilot project pura ho gaya. Abhi real karna hai, pehle toh practice thi.”
