Bengaluru Startup’s ‘Where Is My Train’, Among The Highest Rated In Travel Apps In India, Acquired By Google

Tech giant Google has acquired a multilingual application, ‘Where Is My Train’, to expand their footprint in India, Financial Express has reported. The mobile app displays live running status of trains and keep track of up-to-date schedules in Indian Railways without the use of internet or GPS.

The application, developed by a Bangalore-based startup, Sigmoid Labs is one of the highest rated travel apps in India. Currently, Where Is My Train app provides services in at least eight languages, namely English, Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu.

Passengers can spot trains, check seats and coach arrangements, PNR status and receive live updates using the app. The application competes with an extensive range of mobile applications like RailYatri and iXigo which provide similar services of live train tracking. Among these applications, passengers can always track the Indian Railways trains using the NTES platform.

The Where Is My Train app is available on both on Android and iOS devices.
