Pushpam Priya Chaudhury (Twitter)
Pushpam Priya Chaudhary, 28, a London School of Economics (LSE) alumnus, who had floated her own political outfit 'Plurals Party' and declared herself a contender for the Bihar Chief ministerial post, suffered a blow on Tuesday after trends of the Bihar Assembly results showed her trailing from both the assembly seats she contested from.
After the trends became clear Chaudhary took to twitter to accuse the BJP of rigging and alleged that votes from all her booths were transferred to the NDA.
In other tweets, Choudhary has alleged that EVMs have been hacked in Bihar and votes of her Plurals Party have been stolen. She has also alleged that in booths where her party workers entered the polling booth before her eyes to cast their mandate - she has received zero votes.
As per latest Election Commission data Choudhary has received 1,198 votes in the Bankipur assembly constituency and 466 votes in Bisfi.
Congress leader Dr Udit Raj too has alleged EVM hacking in the polls.
It should be noted that the EVM hacking conspiracy theory has been time after time by the Election Commission which at one point of time even threw a challenge to the political parties to try and hack the voting device. The parties like Congress and BSP ultimately backed out.
