Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Slams Party Leader Pavan Varma Over Questioning JDU’s Alliance With BJP For Delhi Elections

Bihar Chief Minister (CM) and Janata Dal United (JDU) supremo Nitish Kumar on Friday (24 January) again slammed fellow and senior party leader Pavan Varma over letter questioning the alliance of the party with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the upcoming Assembly elections in Delhi, reports Asian News International (ANI).
Lambasting Varma's move to make his letter public via the press and social media, CM Kumar said, "If a person is in the party, he writes a letter explaining the issue and then a reply is given to that person. Sending an email without even informing and straight away going to the press doesn't make any sense to me. I don't consider that to be a letter."
CM Kumar's tirade against Varma came as the latter had on 20 January tweeted a copy of his letter with a caption which talked of 'massive' and 'national' outrage against the BJP on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR).
The latest rebuff from CM Kumar to Varma comes just a day after Kumar had expressed disgruntlement over Varma and party vice president Prashant Kishor's statements on the aforementioned issue. CM Kumar had went as far as to say, "They should go wherever they want."
