Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is now trailing from Patparganj as per a report by ANI.
According to the report, Sisodia’s rival Ravinder Singh Negi has now increased his lead by 1427 votes from the assembly constituency. As per earlier reports, Sisodia was trailing by a margin of 500 votes.
It may be recalled that there were various complaints of dirty supply water from Sisodia’s constituency in the run-up to the elections. Rather than rectifying the same, Sisodia had proceeded to give his voters a ‘Physics lesson’.
Sisodia had also created a flutter by supporting the controversial Shaheen Bagh protests in Delhi. His OSD was arrested by the CBI recently on corruption charges.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
