Vodafone-Idea, following in footsteps of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced that they will not allocate blackout days in 2019, the Telecom Talk reports.
Earlier, it was reported that BSNL had got rid of blackout days allowing their customers to use their special recharges and vouchers even on major holidays like Diwali, Holi and New Year’s Eve.
The customers were charged as per the base plan regardless of any active SMS packs since blackout days would mean the activated SMS plans are rendered useless during festival season.
However, BSNL and Vodafone-Idea subscribers will now be able to make the most of the benefits of their activated special recharge packs during the blackout days.
The current market leader, Vodafone-Idea had declared no blackout days effective from 25 December 2018. Further, the operator has informed that the latest change applies to both Idea and Vodafone subscribers.
