In an attempt to give a new lease of practicality to academics, The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), is now focusing on imparting skill-oriented learning, reports DNA.
To do away with the rote learning, the CBSE is planning to bring in new subjects as a rework of Class X board examinations, come 2019-20 academic season.
In a major move in the same regard, Class 10 students now have two options to while taking Mathematics exams: A basic level for those who don’t wish to pursue higher study on the subjects in their post matriculation courses. And an advanced level for those who have a penchant with the subject, wishing to achieve higher grades in Mathematics.
Basically, the CBSE will be conducting two levels of exams of the subject. Students can opt the level they wish, by the time of preparing the list of students appearing for the Board exams.
In a pursuit of preparing the students to face the ever changing world, CBSE has planned to bring in three new subjects for the sixth, optional subject from Class IX: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Yoga and Early Childhood Educators.
