The landing of Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram Lander on the surface of the moon will mark a landmark event in the progress of India’s indigenous space programme, so the obvious question for many Indians who have waiting eagerly for this moment is how to seamlessly watch the descent live.
Thankfully, there are a number of options for viewers to follow every moment of the landing. The powered descent of the Vikram Lander will be initiated sometime between 1 am to 2 am tomorrow (7 September), with the touchdown thus expected to occur between 1.30 am to 2.30 am.
Viewers can tune in to the the Press Information Bureau’s YouTube channel if they want to watch the landing online. Live updates can also be followed on the official ISRO website.
Alternatively, viewers who want to view the live broadcast in a more conventional way, they can watch the landing on television on Doordarshan.
