China Increases Military Presence On Southeast Coast, Fuels Speculation Of Invasion Plan Of Taiwan

Chinese Premier Xi Jinping has never ruled out the possibility of using military force to capture and rule over Taiwan. Now, the South China Morning Post reports that the People Liberation Army (PLA) is increasing its presence on the southeastern coast. It is reported that the middle kingdom is thus preparing to possibly invade Taiwan in the coming times.
DF-11 and DF-15 missiles have been deployed in the region since decades. Now, China is replacing them with the more advanced hypersonic D-17 missiles as it is said to have a longer range and a better ability to hit targets with accuracy.
Canada-based Kanwa Defence Review’s report elaborates on these claims. “Every rocket force brigade in Fujian and Guangdong is now fully equipped. The size of some of the missile bases in the Eastern and Southern theatre commands have even doubled in recent years, showing the PLA is stepping up preparations for a war targeting Taiwan,” it revealed.
Between 18-19 September, 40 Chinese warplanes had crossed the median line between Taiwan and mainland China.
Moreover, Xi Jinping had made a visit to the southern province of Guangdong recently. News agency Xinhua quoted him instructing the soldiers to put their minds and energy towards the preparation for war.
The supremo of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) also asked for their absolute loyalty and reliability and asserted his troops to maintain a state of high alert.
