At a programme in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday (25 May), Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the state had achieved ‘total e-governance.’

He said this was an important achievement that would increase transparency and efficiency in providing public services.

Further, he said that the state government had launched a E-Sevanam portal through which people could access around 900 services.

He added that the e-office system, which is in use in the higher levels of government like the Secretariat, would soon be implemented at lower levels like the Taluka offices.

Regarding the need to bridge the digital divide for e-governance penetration to increase, he said that his government was working to make the state achieve 100 per cent digital literacy and bring affordable internet to every one through the Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON) project.
