In a push for medical education in Uttar Pradesh (UP), Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath has reached out to the investors as well as the state's diaspora in the United States (US) to invest and help establish a medical college in each of the 75 districts, reports Financial Express.

CM Adityanath has assured that every facility will be provided to those who plan to invest in the state's development. He stated, "UP will do everything possible to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat)."

CM Adityanath made the push while addressing an investment and tourism event organised under the banner of Uttar Pradesh Association of North America (UPANA).

During his address, CM Adityanath said that when he had taken to the helm of affairs in 2017, the state had only 12 medical colleges. He said that 30 more medical colleges are being constructed in different districts currently, and the state government is planning to ensure a medical college in each district.

CM Adityanath also highlighted the construction of new roads, development of tourism, opportunities in the food processing industry and the “one district, one product” programme in UP.

He also informed about the Bundelkhand, Purvanchal and Ganga expressways being built by his government and said that these will accelerate the pace of development in the state.
