CNN Fires Controversial Hinduphobic TV Host For Calling Trump “A Piece of Shit”

America's Cable News Network (CNN) has fired controversial TV host Reza Aslan for calling United States President Donald Trump “a piece of shit” on Twitter. After the London terror attack last week, Trump had tweeted why it was important to have a travel ban in place to stop such attacks from happening in the US. Responding to Trump, Asland tweeted, "This piece of shit is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He's an embarrassment to humankind." Aslan later deleted the tweet and apologised for his choice of words. But it wasn’t enough for CNN to keep the Believer host on its payroll.

“Obviously I am very disappointed in this decision. ‘Believer’ means a great deal to me and to the countless viewers it’s reached. Its message of religious tolerance and exploration is extremely important right now,” Aslan said after CNN parted ways with him.

Aslan claims his show is about tolerance and exploration but many think otherwise. The documentary show had recently come under severe criticism for its brazenly Hinduphobic undertone. In one of the episodes, Aslan misleadingly tried to project a repugnant practice of one sect whose follower count is not even in three digits as mainstream Hinduism. For many viewers, Aslan came off as a more sophisticated version of Zakir Naik.

Aslan is second employee that CNN has fired over their attitude towards President Trump. Earlier, it parted ways with Kathy Griffin after pictures surfaced on the internet showing her holding beheaded bloody head of Trump.
