Rendition of Ram Mandir, designed by Architect Chandrakant Sompura
Indian construction major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has offered to carry out the designing and construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya free of cost, New Indian Express had reported.
As per the report, the company is likely to be represented by senior L&T designer R M Veerappan at a Ram Janmabhoomi trustee meeting - as and when he is invited.
The trustees are likely to decide on an external agency for design and construction during one of their future meetings.
The temple will be constructed in the Nagara style to pay homage to the previous structure which was destroyed by Islamic invaders a few centuries ago.
The 270 foot long temple will be construed on a total area of 67 acres and will solely be built using stone slabs without the use of either iron or cement.
