Bhavya Ram Mandir
The blueprint for the grand Shri Ram temple at Ayodhya has been approved by the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) paving the way for construction of the Mandir, reports Times of India.
Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Ksetra, the trust constituted to look after the management and construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, had submitted the blueprint and the map to the authorities for approval on 29 August.
The mandir trust had reportedly deposited a development fee of Rs 2.1 crore and Rs 15.4 lakh in labour cess with the ADA as part of the sanction procedure.
The maximum height of the temple domes had been fixed at 49.24 m, Ayodhya divisional commissioner M P Agrawal was quoted as saying.
Besides, the 2.74 lakh square meter (sqm) layout within the 67-acre site has to follow the aviation norms as the airport at Faizabad is just 6.5 km away.
The total covered area of the temple, as per the Ram Janmbhoomi map, will be 12,879 sqm. While the ground floor of the temple will be spread across 2,628 sqm, the first floor of the covered area will be 1,850 sqm and second floor will be 1,056 sqm. The temple corridor will occupy 7,343 sqm area.
It should be noted that the foundation stone for the temple was laid on 5 August by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
