Coronavirus: India Reports 5th Death Due To COVID-19 As 63-Year-Old Man Dies In Maharashtra; Cases At 324

India on Sunday (22 March) witnessed its fifth death due to COVID-19 after a 63-year old man died in Maharashtra. Earlier, the total coronavirus positive cases in India rose to 324 as informed by the Union Health Ministry on its website.
Amid the growing spread of the Novel Coronavirus infection, the country is also observing a one-day self-imposed curfew ‘Janta Curfew’ from 7:00am to 9:00pm on Sunday, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed for the same during his address to the nation on Thursday.
Reiterating his request, the PM took to Twitter in the morning and urged people to stay indoors.
"In a few minutes from now, the Janata Curfew commences. Let us all be a part of this curfew, which will add tremendous strength to the fight against COVID-19 menace. The steps we take now will help in the times to come. Stay indoors and stay healthy," Modi tweeted.
Although the authorities are continuing to reject the claims of community transmission of the disease COVID-19, cases of people with no travel history or contact history have begun to surface in the country.
