The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Thursday (26 March) donated Rs 33.81 crore to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to aid the battle against coronavirus, ANI reported.
This amount was pooled after all CRPF personnel unanimously decided to donate one day salary towards the National Relief Fund.
While calling it a humble contribution, the CRPF said that it is dutifully committed to stand alongside the country in this challenging time.
“It is a unanimous decision and a sincere effort by our personnel. The effort was to make the immediate contribution with the noble intent to keep it unrevealed. The CRPF remains steadfast towards its motto of service and loyalty”, added the CRPF statement.
