In a concerning development, a hacker has leaked the customer data of pizza maker Domino’s India and the company has confirmed the same, reports Economic Times.
As per the information shared by Rajshekhar Rajaharia, a cybersecurity researcher, people who have access to a portal developed by the hacker are using it to spy on customers by checking their location along with order date and time.
As per Rajaharia, the said hacker has developed a search engine on the Dark Web and data of 18 crore customers of Domino’s India has been made public on the same. The data include information like name, email, mobile number, GPS location et cetera.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that Jubilant FoodWorks has said that the company has recently experienced a security incident but no financial details of the customers have been breached. It also added that the incident has not resulted in any operational or business impact.
Owner of the Domino’s brand in India, Jubilant FoodWorks also said, “As a policy, we do not store financial details or credit card data of our customers, thus no such information has been compromised. Our team of experts is investigating the matter and we have taken the necessary actions to contain the incident.
