Days After Endorsing Modi For PM, Mulayam Singh Yadav Slams SP-BSP’s Alliance As Seat Sharing Details Emerge

Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav has slammed the Lok Sabha alliance stitched by his party with the Mayawati led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Indian Express has reported.
As per the report, Mulayam while speaking about the alliance with the BSP claimed that SP members are internally destroying the party.
The SP patriarch had earlier stirred up a storm by endorsing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a second term during a speech in the Lok Sabha.
Meanwhile the two parties have officially announced their seat sharing formula for the general elections.
As reported by Economic Times, the SP will contest 37 and the BSP 38 seats respectively. SP has given one seat to the Rashtriya Lok Dal from its own quota. The alliance had earlier decided to not contest from Rae Bareli and Amethi, the high profile bastions of the Gandhi family.
Incidentally, the SP will field candidates from Varanasi and Lucknow currently held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh. It will also contest from most prominent urban centres like Gorakhpur, Azamgarh and Kanpur.
The BSP on the other hand will contest from Agra, Aligarh, Meerut and various rural seats in the state.
