The Delhi High Court on Thursday (25 June) pulled up hospitals in Delhi and directed the central and the Delhi governments to take strict action against the ones that are failing to give real-time update on the availability of COVID-19 beds, Hindustan Times reported.

While calling for filling any communication gap between the government and hospital administrations, the HC also asked the state government to appoint "dedicated officers" to make sure of it.

The court was hearing a petition which alleged that Delhi government's 'Delhi Corona Mobile Application' was not being updated regularly and properly, and was showing wrong data. The petition said there was a mismatch in the number of beds and ventilators shown available on the app and what was being told by the private hospitals in the city.

With regards to this, the court issued directions to the state government to look into the matter and rectify any gaps.
