Delhi Metro: DMRC Set To Launch Driverless Train Operations On Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar Pink Line From Tomorrow

Delhi Metro Rail Corportation (DMRC) is set to launch 'driverless train operations' on it 59-Km long Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar Pink Line.

Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot will inaugurate the driverless train opeations on Delhi Metro's Pink Line via video-conferencing on Thursday (25 November).

"Driverless Train Operations (DTO) on Delhi Metro’s Pink Line (Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar) will be formally inaugurated on the 25th of November, 2021 (Thursday) by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri and the Transport Minister of NCT of Delhi, Kailash Gahlot via video conferencing at 11:30 am," the DMRC said on Tuesday (23 November).

The Pink Line, with a length of 59.24 km, is the longest individual line in the Delhi Metro and is mosty elevated. The Pink Line consists of 38 metro stations from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar, both in North Delhi.

Earlier in December last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated India's first-ever driverless train operations on the Delhi Metro's Magenta Line.
