In a heartening development, the Border Security Force (BSF) has decided to rebuild the house of one of its constables which was burnt down during riots in Northeast Delhi earlier this week, reports The Hindu.

Aged 29, Constable Mohammad Anees is presently serving in Odisha’s Malkangiri and is set to get married in the upcoming month of May.

As per reports, BSF Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Pushpendra Rathore, who met Anees' parents and his other family members at his home, said that the border guarding force will rebuild the house and hand it over to Anees as a 'wedding gift'.

Anees had not directly informed his seniors in the force about the mishap. The BSF learnt of the tragedy from media reports following which senior officials from the force got in touch with Anees and a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) rank officer visited his family on Saturday (29 February).

The engineering wing of the BSF has already visited Anees’ family and the force has also decided to muster some monetary help for them. In this light, senior officials of the force have decided to pool in money and hand over the sum to Anees’ family. Additionally, he would be posted in Delhi itself to help his family rebuild his house.
