Denmark based billionaire, Anders Holch Povlsen, who is the country’s richest person, has lost three of his four children to the serial blasts that rocked Sri Lanka, reports BBC. The identities of the deceased children are yet to be disclosed.
A string of bomb blasts rocked Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka, on Sunday (21 April) with three blasts being reported at 5-star hotels and three others from different churches which were especially crowded due to celebrations of Easter.
The death toll from the blasts has now touched 359, with over 500 wounded. The majority of those killed are believed to be Sri Lankan nationals, including many Christians. Authorities have identified 36 foreign nationals among the dead while most are still to be identified at a Colombo mortuary.
Mr Holch owns the international clothing chain Bestseller and is the biggest single shareholder in clothing giant Asos. He is also UK's largest private landowner with an extensive property portfolio in Scotland and owns about a dozen estates including Aldourie Castle.
