Digvijaya Singh Accuses Army Of Killing Civilians In Kashmir, Compares It To Terror Outfits

In yet another controversial statement, and one which misrepresents facts on the ground, senior Congress leader and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s close aide Digvijaya Singh accused the Indian Army of killing civilians in Kashmir and compared the professional armed forces of the country with Pakistan-sponsored terror outfits active in the Valley.
"The civilians are being killed from both sides in Kashmir Valley. From one end, the militants are killing them and on the other, they are becoming the target of the security forces," Singh said.
Furthering his political agenda, Singh said that the Peoples Democratic Party-Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir has brought a sense of distrust in the local population. He also said that the situation in Kashmir was better when the Congess was in power at the Centre.
