To check the instance of copying in examination, first year students of Bhagat Pre-University College in Haveri, Karnataka were handed over specially designed cartons to cover their heads, with a hole cut in the front for them to see, reports Times of India.
A video was shared on social media on Wednesday (16 October) which showed students wearing the cartons over their head while giving exam.
Deputy Director of Pre-University Education S.C. Peerzade visited the college as soon as he came to know about the incident and was reported saying that he issued a notice to the college management for implementing “an inhumane idea in the examination hall”.
As per MD Sateesh, a director of the college this idea was implemented to check the cases of copying the examination and was done as an experiment, not as a harassment tool. He also added that this was done with the permission of the students.
