Former Mckinsey consultant Saikiran Krishnamurthy and Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal are set to launch a start-up together that will offer learning and consulting services along with technology tools to startups which are in their growth-stage and are looking to scale up, reports The Economic Times.
Krishnamurthy and Bansal have funded the venture named xto10x Technologies. The company, which is still at the concept stage, is looking to hire a team by January 2019 as they plan to test its product with various startups.
“The idea is to disrupt traditional consulting firms with tech-backed solutions and tools which do not require hundreds of partners. They aim to help transform product-market fit and initial business momentum into at-scale, well-rounded companies, a problem being faced by many in the Indian ecosystem. This, they have realised, cannot be solved by capital alone,” said a source close to the developments.
Series B and C startups are being targeted by the platform, which will help enable them with software tools and consulting on a self-serve model along with mentorship and learning. “It is a mix of SAP, Coursera and McKinsey for startups as they want to create a new-age consulting model,” added the source.
The developments occur a month after Bansal stepped down from the group CEO and Chairman roles at Flipkart after a probe was conducted to investigate allegations of “personal misconduct” against him. American retail giant Walmart, which acquired 77 per cent of Flipkart, said that the charges were found to be false.
