On 10 February (Sunday), around two crore devotees took a spiritual dip in the water during the third and final Shahi Snan at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. It is celebrated as Saraswati Puja on Panchmi of Shukla Paksh in the month of Magh.
The devotees were still at the Sangam which is the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswat said the Mela authorities as reported by News On Air.
Furthermore, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi both greeted the people on the occasion of Basant Panchami. Meanwhile, in West Bengal Saraswati Puja is being celebrated with traditional intensity and zeal. The idol of the goddess of learning, Saraswati, is worshipped in every household, particularly educational institutions.
