On Sunday (11 June), the first-ever National Training Conclave was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Delhi's Pragati Maidan. This was an important event for the country's civil services.

One of the most crucial aspects of the conclave was the participation of representatives from civil services training institutes across the country. They had come from every part of India and were eager to collaborate and learn from one another.

The conclave was hosted by the Capacity Building Commission. Its primary objective was to foster collaboration among civil services training institutes and strengthen the training infrastructure for civil servants across the country.

Over 1,500 representatives from central training institutes, state administrative training institutes, regional and zonal training institutes, and research institutes across India attended the conclave.

This was a significant step towards building a better future for India's civil services.

According to an official statement, prominent civil servants representing central government departments, state governments, and local governments, along with experts from the private sector, participated in the deliberations.

The statement mentioned that the diversity of this gathering would facilitate exchanging ideas, identifying challenges and opportunities, and generating actionable solutions and comprehensive strategies for building capacity.

The conclave comprised eight panel discussions, each emphasising significant concerns relating to civil service training institutes, such as faculty development, training impact assessment, and content digitisation.
