Flying Vehicles To Become Reality As Dutch Company May Start Testing Flying Car In India Soon

The image of flying cars won’t just be limited to the TV screens and is set to become reality in India as a dutch company is planning to test its flying car in the nation, reports Economic Times.
The company know as PAL-V (Personal Air and Land Vehicle) is a Dutch company that is involved in the development of the first commercial personal flying car, the PAL-V Liberty. It is a compact two-person aircraft that can travel on public roads.
“We met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demonstrated our technology. We might start testing in India very soon”, Pal-V Co-Chairman Drs Janpieter Koning tol ET.
It should be noted that PAL-V first unveiled a prototype of the vehicle back in 2012. It is now working on commercially launching the vehicle globally in the next one year for personal buyers.
The company also said that it will provide training to buyers for acquiring certification to fly the vehicle. The training process reportedly takes around 35-40 hours.
However, Koning also mentioned that the use of the vehicle for public transportation would remain a challenge. Moving forward, there arises a need for certain regulations and infrastructure to enter into the era of flying vehicles.
